Outreach

Within the framework of this project, different activities are being carried out to promote aspects related to the transcreation and multilingual dissemination of corporate information.

On March 2, 2022, researcher Mar Díaz Millón was invited to perform a speech for two groups of students from the International Business Communication degree from Aarhus University (Denmark). The lecture, entitled “(Web) Transcreation and Corporate Communication”, included information on the basics of transcreation in general and web transcreation in particular, with a special focus on the context of large and small companies. After the lecture, held virtually, the researcher solved students’ questions about transcreation and its role within the business context.

As part of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the 11th of February 2022, the researcher Juncal Gutiérrez Artacho participated in the conference «Investigar en traducción: más allá de las lenguas y culturas» (Researching in translation: beyond languages and cultures), organized by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit of the University of Granada. This lecture, which was attended by 90 students from 3rd year of secondary school , took place at the Juan XXIII High School in Zaidín.

Besides, last February 18, our colleague María Jiménez Castro gave a lecture entitled “Descubriendo la transcreación” (Discovering transcreation) at Manuel Cañadas High School in Moraleda de Zafayona, also under the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. In her speech, within the framework of the TRANSMARTUR project, she discussed the importance of transcreation in different sectors, such as the world of cinema, video games, and marketing.

The aim of both conferences was to make students aware of the roles and work of all women in research.

VI Conference on Introduction to University Teaching

On January 20, 2022, within the framework of the VI Conference on Initiation to University Teaching for FPU and FPI Predoctoral Fellows of the University of Granada, the researcher Irene Rivera Trigueros participated in the inaugural conference “Teaching at the university from two points of view. The beginning and the experience”. One of the objectives of this talk was the presentation of research projects in which the speakers are involved, including TRANSMARTUR.
